west of Dublin in the historic Boyne Valley. The circular monastic
enclosure protected St. Columba's Church, the Round Tower and four
of the town's five crosses. Nearby, St. Colmcille's House is strategically
positioned at one of the highest points in the town. It is though
that it housed some of the Saint's relics and that the 9th century
Book of Kells - the town's most notable feature - was completed
