The beautiful village of Clarenbridge is situated in South Galway on the main route from Galway to Limerick, at the mouth of the Claren river and at the head of one of Galway Bay's most easterly inlets, Dunbulcan Bay. The village is located at the westerly extremity of the Eiscir Riada, a critically important natural gravel roadway which crosses through Ireland's bogs and made ancient travel possible.
